Park Elementary's 1st Annual Career Day 'Unqualified Success'

Director speaks to kids at Park Elementary ...The L.A. Unified School District school, located in Cudahy, Calif., made their computer lab available to the FreePath Creative Director for the day, while kids of all ages attended several presentations. "This was an extremely gratifying experience," says Erica. "The kids really responded to our web-page demonstration, even the ones I'd been told ahead of time had a very short attention span."

Erica shared the childrens' attention with a wide range of about 75 other professionals, including LAPD officers, firefighters, a doctor, a politician, a flight attendant, a librarian, a swimwear designer, a geologist, a theatre director, a pilot, a welder, a computer science professor, and an engineer, just to name a few. The kids even got to hear a US Secret Serviceman speak! The day ended with a special "Read 4 Life Program" presentation from KNBC Channel 4 News Weatherman Christopher Nance.

"We were especially grateful to have Erica participate in our Career Day," says Martin Sandoval, the school's principal. "Her career as a web developer and business owner added to the great mix of professionals we had. We were astounded at the wide range of talented people who helped us make our first-ever Career Day such an unqualified success."
